BMWED members, including Northeastern System Federation Secretary Treasurer/Vice General Chairman and longtime Amtrak employee Renato Rufo, joined the Amtrak Service Workers Council recently at Boston’s South Station in protesting management’s ending of freshly-prepared meals on trains along the Northeast Corridor. This has meant job loss for 14 workers, members of the TWU and TCU. (The BMWED has been in Solidarity with this group in previous actions, including out front of Penn Station/NYC.)
