(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, The Teamsters Union announced that it stands in solidarity with French union members on strike and engaged in negotiations with XPO Logistics, Inc.
The Teamsters Union has led the fight against XPO in the United States, combating the company’s abusive treatment of its workers. These practices expand beyond the borders the United States with XPO workers in the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and Belgium facing issues related to the company improperly calculating overtime pay, withholding pension payments and delaying paychecks.
“Our union and its 1.4 million members, supports our French brothers and sisters at XPO in their fight for respect on the job,” said Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa. “This company cannot be allowed to exploit its workforce to fatten its bottom line.”
Founded in 1903, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters represents more than 1.4 million hardworking men and women throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
