NLRB Calls Lockout of USW Members at Europtec in Clarksburg Illegal  PR Newswire  ...The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Region 6, today informed the United Steelworkers (USW) and Europtec that it has decided to issue a complaint alleging that the company unlawfully locked out its employees on July 11, 2016. The 28 members of USW Local 567, employed at the company's glass processing facility in Clarksburg, W. Va., are now owed back-pay from July 11 forward until Europtec returns them to work...

Skyway maintenance workers set to strike Tuesday  Chicago Tribune  ...The union representing Chicago Skyway maintenance workers said it plans to strike Tuesday after nine months without a contract. The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board last Wednesday accusing Skyway management of bad faith bargaining...

Honeywell to resume contract talks with UAW Local 9  WNDU  ...After more than 100 days, a South Bend manufacturing plant will resume negotiations with a local labor union. Honeywell announced it’ll continue talks with the UAW Local 9 the week of September 12th. Workers were walked off the job on May 9th as their contract expired and have been waiting for a new deal...
