Amazon Prime Air pilots are heading to shareholders meeting to confront execs over low wages  CNBC  ...More than 50 pilots are set to protest at Amazon's shareholders meeting on Tuesday. The Teamsters say that Atlas Air and ATSG pay 50 to 60 percent below the rest of the industry. Without better pay and benefits, the pilots fear there won't be enough of them to keep up their end of the contract with Amazon...

Teamsters Local 332 represents about 80 workers at Genesee Care Center on Holly Road. They haven't had a contract for 18 months. "They're very anti-worker, anti-union. Construction Workers in Quebec, Canada, On General Strike  Teamster.org  ...More than 175,000 construction workers across Quebec, Canada, went on strike today over contract negotiations which failed to reach a resolution. The major points of disagreement between the unions, represented by the Trade Union Alliance, were work schedules, salaries and overtime demands. Teamsters Canada President Francois Laporte issued a statement saying, "This labor dispute is all the more significant because our brothers and sisters in the construction industry are fighting for the middle class as a whole"...

Construction workers walk off job at downtown Omni Hotel over wages  WDRB  ...About 100 construction workers helping to build the Omni Hotel in Louisville, KY walked off the job early Wednesday. The workers, almost all of whom are Latino immigrants, said they recently discovered they're being paid less than others on the project. They hang and finish drywall and install metal studs, they said...

Workers protest lockout at Westinghouse  Fosters.com  ...The 174 workers in Westinghouse Electric Company’s Local 651 labor union were “locked out” at midnight Sunday after contract negotiations stalled. Duane Egan, the union’s chief steward, was joined by about 30 other union members who picketed in front of the Shattuck Way nuclear components manufacturing plant on Monday. He said because of the lockout, the workers are now without insurance and are not earning wages...

Uber underpaid NYC drivers by millions for nearly three years  CNBC  ...Uber admitted Tuesday that it underpaid its New York City-based drivers by millions of dollars over the past two and a half years, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. The ride-hailing company said it had "mistakenly" over-calculated its cut of commission by taking roughly 25 percent from fares before taxes...
