(FORT WAYNE, Ind.)—American Red Cross mobile-unit and fixed-site staff throughout Indiana and Western Ohio have voted to ratify their first agreement as members of Teamsters Local 414.
(PHILADELPHIA) – Teamsters Local 502/Commonwealth Association of School Administrators and the School District of Philadelphia reached a tentative agreement today on a contract covering more than 670 school administrators.
(STATE COLLEGE, Pa.) – Teamsters at Pennsylvania State University voted to ratify their most recent contract by over 80 percent on Monday. The three-year agreement covers more than 2,600 workers in hospitality, maintenance, landscaping and various other support roles for the university.
On July 1, school support personnel throughout North Carolina received the largest state legislated pay increase in eight years. The state budget also included a $16.8 million provision dedicated to raising the average rate of pay for school bus drivers. The increases come after several years of intense lobbying by Teamsters Local 391.
With the passage and implementation of the City of Raleigh’s budget on July 1, police officers represented by Teamsters Local 391 are expected to see pay increases of anywhere from 3 percent to 13 percent. The new budget also increases the starting base salary for police to $40,000 annually.
