(LOCKPORT, N.Y.) – On Dec. 10, Teamster school bus drivers and aides that work for Student Transportation of America and serve the Lockport, N.Y. and Starpoint, N.Y. school districts ratified their first contract after a vote for Teamster representation on May 20. There are 210 workers in the bargaining unit.
(TACOMA, Wash.) – On Sept. 29, 2016, drivers and monitors at First Student in Steilacoom, Wash. voted unanimously to join the Teamsters. The 21 drivers and monitors in the bargaining unit will become members of Local 313.
(WASHINGTON) – The International Brotherhood of Teamsters announced the formation of the Teamsters National School Bus Safety Committee in honor of National School Bus Safety Week, which begins today. The committee is being formed to address safety issues at school bus companies throughout the United States and Canada.
(SANTA ROSA, Fla.) –Today, Teamster bus drivers and monitors at Durham School Services in Santa Rosa County, Fla. voted overwhelmingly, 85-1, in favor of their first agreement with the company.

School bus drivers represented by Teamsters Local 777 in Lyons, Ill., have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a first contract agreement at Latino Express, a subcontractor for Chicago Public Schools.
More than three years after Durham School Services bus drivers and monitors voted overwhelmingly for union representation in Santa Rosa County, Fla., Teamsters Local 991 announced the company has agreed to meet at the bargaining table beginning July 12.
