In August 2010, tankhaul drivers and mechanics who work at KAG West at 17 terminals in Southern California voted to join Local 986 in South El Monte, California. Despite Local 986 KAG members’ determination to bargain a fair contract, the company has continued to retaliate by stalling negotiations. More than one year after workers formed their union, management is dragging its feet and doing everything possible to deny workers the right to collectively bargain for a more secure future for themselves and for their families. As Teamsters, we will not allow KAG West workers to be intimidated by the company’s anti-worker tactics. We are standing and fighting with KAG West workers every step of the way in their fight for a fair contract.
