By an overwhelming majority, Teamster local unions representing workers in the growing pipeline construction industry have voted to extend the current Teamsters National Pipeline Agreement for three years.  The contract covers more than 4,500 workers nationwide currently building the Rover, Utopia and Atlantic Coast pipelines, among others.

“We negotiated a strong contract that will give our pipeline workers improvements in wages and pensions,” said Bubba Davis, Director of the Teamsters Building Material and Construction Trade Division.

In addition to general wage and pension improvements, log truck drivers and mechanics will receive significant wage increases.

The term of agreement begins June 5, 2017 and concludes on May 31, 2020.
