(SAN FRANCISCO) –– The National Labor Relations Board has vacated a decision that overturned Browning-Ferris, a landmark joint employer ruling that resulted from a 2013 case brought by Teamsters Local 350 in Daly City, Calif., against Browning-Ferris, a waste management company owned by Republic Services.
DHL Teamsters have voted to ratify all the national agreements and 95 percent of the supplements by an overwhelming margin. The remaining few supplements are being discussed with the company this week and the union hopes to have all the issues resolved quickly.
By a vote of 46-9, workers at ITS Calumet, an intermodal rail transportation company in the Chicago area, voted February 23 to join Teamsters Local 710. There are 57 workers in the bargaining unit.
