Washington State Voter Registration Instructions

State Organizational Voter Registration Drive Requirements:

No organizational requirements.

Individual Voter Registration Drive Requirements:

No individual requirements.

Voter Registration Form Requirements:

State Form: The state form may be obtained from the county auditor or downloaded at the secretary of state’s website at http://www.sos.wa.gov/_assets/elections/VRF_English_Fillable_WEB.pdf. If blank forms are photocopied, the Secretary of State’s office states that the organization must copy both the front and back of the form. The registration form may not be changed in any way during the photocopy process.

Voter Registration Drive Collection and Completion Requirements:

All registration applications collected as part of a voter registration drive must be transmitted no later than 5 business days after receiving the application and delivered or postmarked by 29 Days before Election Day. State voter registration applications must be delivered/mailed to the county election office of the county where the voter resides.  A list of county election offices is located here: http://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/auditors.aspx

Turn In Deadline:

Within 5 days of receiving a card or by October 7th, 2014, whichever is sooner.

2014 Voter Registration Deadline:

October 7thby mail or by a voter registration drive, and October 27th in person.
