(HARRISBURG, Pa.) – Teamsters Local Union 776 in Harrisburg, Pa. will be donating more than $7,500 in toys to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey.

“We are pleased to take part in this event and support our local community in this way,” said Fred Wilson, President of Local 776. “It’s a season when giving to charity is especially important. The members of our local union wanted to contribute in this way and assist children and families in need.”

The local union’s membership voted to donate the remaining toys from this year’s Teamsters Local 776 Children’s Christmas Party. They plan to distribute their gifts on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 9 a.m. at the Ronald McDonald House at 745 W. Governor Road in Hershey.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania provides comfort and care to children and their families through Ronald McDonald House and by making grants to other local not-for-profit organizations that help children in need.  They also fund the Ronald McDonald Family Room, Hospitality Cart, and family lounges at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
