In response to this morning’s announcement that pilots of Republic Airlines, represented by Teamsters Local Union 357 in Plainfield, Ind. and the Teamsters Airline Division, voted down a tentative agreement by the count of 289-1,643, Airline Division Director Capt. David Bourne issued the following statement:

“We are very proud to have worked with the dedicated team of pilot negotiators from Republic who worked so diligently to bring a tentative agreement to their members that was the best contract achievable at this time and a major advance over the current agreement. However, the membership has spoken and we will respect their wishes. We look forward to working with the local as we move forward.”
