Workers at Industrial Container Services (ICS) have voted, via an NLRB election, to join Teamsters Local 117!  The vote took place on December 1st at the company’s facility in Seattle.  ICS is one of the largest suppliers of reusable containers in the U.S.

“I voted for the Teamsters because I wanted my rights on the job respected,” said Sergio Avitia, an ICS employee.

The victory brings 38 new members into the Union.  Workers at ICS showed tremendous grit, determination, and solidarity throughout the organizing campaign.  Many of the workers voted for Teamster representation in order to negotiate a contract that provides for higher wages and a cleaner, safer working environment.
