It was recently announced that the AA Mechanics will enjoy a 4.3 percent pay increase if AA and US Air merges into one airline. This was negotiated for the AA mechanics only. So what about us? The IAM hasn’t announced any increases or protections for us here at US Air.

This once again proves that we are long overdue to get rid of the IAM and vote in the Teamsters. The fact that another union at AA was able to negotiate with both airlines for a raise in the event of a merger while the IAM hasn’t been able to get US Airways to give us any raise speaks volumes about the IAM’s poor representation.

The AA mechanics and related workers are getting closer every day to having Teamster representation. Don’t let us fall further behind at US Air. Stand united with your fellow brothers and sisters at US Air and AA. Sign your Teamster authorization card today and urge your coworkers to do the same.
