Members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET), part of the Teamsters Rail Conference, met with members of Congress and their staff this week to discuss positive train control, hours of service and the restoration of benefits. Positive Train Control (PTC), in particular, will prevent the most egregious and catastrophic accidents where hazmat or passenger trains are involved.
