Ready Mix cement workers at Lafarge Concrete have voted to become members of Teamsters Local 270, New Orleans. Lafarge Concrete is one of the largest cement suppliers in the area and handles all types of projects: highways, commercial buildings, schools and residences.

“We are proud to have these new members as part of our local union,” said David Bayne, business agent at Local 270. “The Lafarge employees wanted to have a fair voice on the job and to be treated with respect.”

Local union 270 already represent a large group of Ready Mix drivers in Metairie, Louisiana.
