Teamsters Take on AmerisourceBergen’s Role in Fueling Opioid Epidemic

Teamsters are taking a stand against the opioid crisis. Teamsters, Rep. John J. Taylor and other concerned citizens protested outside AmerisourceBergen’s shareholder meeting in Philadelphia yesterday. They demanded that executives of the pharmaceutical wholesale distributor be held accountable for the company’s role in fueling the nation’s prescription opioid epidemic. The Centers for Disease Control estimates that prescription opioids claim the lives of 62 Americans every day.
