On October 5^th, 79 Teamster members from across the country departed on a flight out of Newark, N.J. as part of a humanitarian mission organized by labor unions to send volunteers to Puerto Rico to assist in the ongoing hurricane relief efforts. They are joining more than 30 Teamsters that are already on the ground to assist with sanitation support, delivering supplies, and debris removal. Many of the volunteers have friends and family on the island who are suffering as a result of the storm.
