Teamsters on the Trail: Nov. 4-10


As the presidential candidates turned their attention to “Super Tuesday” and swing states, Teamsters members were there to push them on Teamster issues. Local union members and officials in North Carolina and Pennsylvania got in on the action as part of the Teamsters 2020 primary engagement strategy.


Monday, Nov. 4

Philadelphia, Pa.: Teamsters from Local 500 and 502 heard from Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and made their presence known. Asked about pension reform, she told members that Democrats need to “win big in November 2020” if they want to get the Butch Lewis Act passed in Congress. Photo here.


Tuesday, Nov. 5

Pittsburgh, Pa.: Teamsters Joint Council 40 Principal Joe Molinaro, was on hand to hear from former Vice President Joe Biden on a number of issues important to Teamster members. Photo here.

Atlanta, Ga.: Teamsters from Georgia will attend the next Democratic Presidential Debate, scheduled for next Wednesday, November 20. Tune in to see if candidates discuss their plans on important Teamster issues such as the pension crisis.
