Slot Attendants in Illinois Vote Overwhelmingly to Join Local 325

(ROCKFORD, Ill.) – Slot attendants at Hard Rock Casino Rockford have voted by an overwhelming 98 percent margin to join Teamsters Local 325.

“I congratulate these workers for showing resilience and voting to join our Teamsters family,” said Erick Calvert, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 325. “Despite an aggressive anti-union campaign, they sent a clear message to Hard Rock management that they are serious about winning the dignity, respect, and strong contract they deserve.”

The slot attendants join more than 5,000 Teamsters in the casino and gaming industry nationwide. They also join valet and warehouse workers already represented by Local 325 at Hard Rock Casino Rockford.  

“We are proud to call ourselves Teamsters and look forward to negotiating alongside our brothers and sisters in valet and the warehouse,” said Siara Raymer, a slot attendant at Hard Rock and new member of Local 325. “All of us were fed up with the status quo and knew it was time to stand our ground. Now, we are ready to fight for what we deserve.”  

Teamsters Local 325 represents over 1,000 workers across northern Illinois, including freight and sanitation drivers, dock workers, casino workers, public sector workers, maintenance crews, and clerical staff. For more information, visit teamsterslocal325.org
