(SEATTLE) – Teamsters in Washington have overwhelmingly ratified their first-ever regional collective bargaining agreement at APP/World Kinect. The contract covers more than 100 fuel haulers at Locals 174, 231, and newly organized workers at Local 58, strengthening Teamsters’ power in a critical industry.
“This is a groundbreaking agreement that unites Teamsters from across Washington under one contract for the first time,” said Rick Hicks, Teamsters Western Region International Vice President and President of Joint Council 28. “By bringing three separate locals under one master agreement, we’ve laid the foundation for even greater expansion in this key industry. We are incredibly proud of these members for staying strong and proving what’s possible when Teamsters fight together.”
The new agreement secures the highest wages for fuel haulers in the region, guarantees full family health care at no cost to workers, expands vacation and holiday benefits, strengthens seniority rights, and implements critical protections against subcontracting.
Teamsters Joint Council 28 represents more than 50,000 hardworking people in Washington, Alaska, and the Idaho Panhandle. For more information, visit www.jc28.org.
