Teamsters Recognize April as Autism Awareness Month

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters proudly recognizes April as Autism Awareness Month and celebrates the contributions that our members living with autism have made to our union.
Since our founding in 1903, the Teamsters have been on the front lines of organizing workers from all walks of life, including those living with autism. Our union and workplaces around the nation are stronger when different physical and cultural qualities are uplifted and respected.
Every day, we are fighting to ensure that Teamsters and Teamsters families living with autism are treated with the dignity they deserve. Nobody should face discrimination or abuse due to physical differences. The Teamsters will continue to provide the support necessary to make sure Teamsters of all backgrounds are treated with respect and equality.
