(WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.) – In another victory for Sysco workers in West Palm Beach, Fla., mechanics voted unanimously in favor of joining Teamsters Local 769 in Miami yesterday. The eight mechanics follow 84 Sysco drivers at the facility who won Teamster representation back in April, making theirs the first Sysco facility in the state where workers have formed a union.

(MONTGOMERY, N.Y.) – Drivers at America’s largest organic and natural food supplier United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) [NASDAQ: UNFI] have voted to join Teamsters Local 445, the union announced yesterday. The 100 drivers distribute food from the company’s Montgomery, N.Y. facility to Whole Foods and other organic, natural and specialty food stores in the New York metropolitan area. They voted to form a union at UNFI in order to ensure fair pay, equitable treatment on the job, and the ability to provide a good life for themselves and their families.
(WASHINGTON) – Teamsters who work at Costco in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia have overwhelmingly ratified an agreement under which they will be covered by the Western Conference of Teamsters pension plan for the first time in the history of their membership. The Western Conference is the largest Taft-Hartley defined-benefit pension plan in the nation.
