More than 400 Teamsters Local 528 members employed at Sysco are now on strike at the company’s College Park, Ga., distribution center after management unilaterally changed working conditions for employees and prevented the members from communicating with each other about ongoing contract negotiations.
(WASHINGTON) – Costco Teamsters covered by two separate contracts for California and the East region have voted to ratify the two agreements. The California agreement passed with 86 percent voting yes and the East region agreement passed with 94 percent voting yes.

In another victory against Sysco’s vicious mistreatment of workers, Teamsters Local 528 in Atlanta has won a fired Sysco worker’s job back with full pay and benefits.
On Friday, March 8, a group of 34 drivers in Idaho and Oregon working at Food Services of America, Inc., which US Foods is in the process of purchasing, voted to become members of Teamsters Local 483 in Boise, Idaho and Local 670 in Salem, Oregon.
XPO Logistics will close a Memphis warehouse where employees had complained about widespread discrimination and a number of pregnant workers had miscarriages. The Teamsters union, which has been trying to organize workers at the warehouse, said the closing was retaliation against employees who publicized incidents of sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination.
(WASHINGTON) – XPO workers denounced today’s announcement by XPO Logistics, Inc. that it will be closing its Verizon-contracted Memphis facility beginning April 15, 2019. With this closure, XPO and Verizon will walk away from a warehouse that was the subject of an Oct. 21, 2018 New York Times article that exposed pregnancy discrimination. The closure will take an estimated 400 jobs out of the Memphis community.
Drivers at Sysco South Florida near Miami have voted to join Teamsters Local 769, the second organizing victory in less than three weeks at Sysco and the latest example of workers standing together nationwide at the company to demand fair treatment.
