(WASHINGTON) – On behalf of warehouse workers at XPO Logistics in North Haven, Conn., Teamsters Local 443 filed for Teamster representation today, one day after XPO freight workers in Illinois took similar action, as workers nationwide band together to fight for fair treatment at the multinational corporation.
(COVINA, Calif.) – Teamsters Local 63 announced today that more than 50 lumpers that work for TW Services at the Stater Bros. Markets in San Bernardino, Calif. ratified their first contract. The group, which handles the unloading of cargo at the Stater Bros. warehouse location, becomes one of the first lumper services units to organize with the Teamsters Union.
(POMPANO BEACH, Fla.) – By a 60-35 vote, drivers at FreshPoint in Pompano Beach, Fla., voted today to join Teamsters Local 769, the third organizing victory at Sysco in South Florida in the past four months.
The Teamsters’ long-running struggle with Schnucks market chain in St. Louis is headed for a National Labor Relations Board judge on Sept. 7.
(WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.) – In another victory for Sysco workers in West Palm Beach, Fla., mechanics voted unanimously in favor of joining Teamsters Local 769 in Miami yesterday. The eight mechanics follow 84 Sysco drivers at the facility who won Teamster representation back in April, making theirs the first Sysco facility in the state where workers have formed a union.
