British Members Of Parliament Join Teamster School Bus Workers At Community Forum

(CHARLESTON, S.C.) – Teamster school bus drivers and monitors were joined by members of the British Parliament, parents, community, political and faith leaders, as well as representatives from Teamsters Local 509 at tonight’s Community Forum on School Bus Transportation, hosted by S.C. state representatives Wendell Gilliard and David Mack.

First Student School Bus Workers Choose Teamsters Local 570 Representation

(BALTIMORE) –– First Student school bus drivers and monitors who transport children attending Baltimore City Public Schools have voted to join Teamsters Local 570 in Baltimore. The 113 school bus workers work out of First Student yards in Baltimore and Severn, Md., and joined the union seeking respect, fair pay and dignity at work.

National Labor Relations Board Rules In Favor Of Teamster School Bus Workers

(WASHINGTON) – School bus drivers and monitors in Santa Rosa County, Fla., who are members of Teamsters Local 991 in Mobile, Ala., have won another victory in a decision handed down by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in Washington, D.C. The December 4 ruling orders the workers’ employer, Durham School Services, to “cease and desist” failing and refusing to recognize and bargain with Teamsters Local 991.
