Members from local unions representing Red Cross workers met this week at the Teamster headquarters to begin work on the negotiations for the National Addendum agreement.   Stewards, business agents and principal officers from Teamster locals 25, 63, 243, 414, 507, 570 and 929 participated in the week-long meetings which included representatives from the eight other international unions that comprise the National Negotiation Committee.

Jim Hoffa, Teamsters General President, met with Teamster representatives to ensure they knew that the support of the union’s legal, communications, contracts, research and other departments would support them throughout the negotiation process.

Teamster locals have represented blood collection specialists for many years and have recently had organizing victories with units in Oklahoma, Kansas, Indiana and Maine.
