Drivers at Sysco South Florida near Miami have voted to join Teamsters Local 769, the second organizing victory in less than three weeks at Sysco and the latest example of workers standing together nationwide at the company to demand fair treatment.
Drivers and helpers from Sysco’s Sygma Network in Monroe, Michigan near Detroit have voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 337, the latest example of Sysco workers standing together nationwide to demand fair treatment and working conditions.
(PLYMPTON, Mass.) – In a major win for workers, 253 Sysco-Boston drivers voted overwhelmingly for Teamsters Local 653 representation at the company’s New England distribution center that serves customers in five states. Sysco [NYSE: SYY] is the nation’s largest broadline foodservice provider.
On May 11th Sysco Warehouse workers in Post Falls, ID unanimously voted to ratify a Teamsters contract and join Local 690 in Spokane, WA.
On May 2, 2018, Inventory Control workers at Sysco in Riverside, California voted to join Local 683 in San Diego. There are seven workers in the bargaining unit.
(WASHINGTON) – Teamsters expanded their footprint this week in Florida when 110 Fresh Point Drivers and eight Sysco Southeast Florida mechanics ratified first contracts as members of Local 769 in North Miami. They join 93 Sysco Southeast Florida drivers who ratified the first union contract in the state in April 2017.
