TAMC Newsletters – Teamsters Aviation Professional
The Teamster Aviation Mechanics Coalition (TAMC) is your voice in the Aviation Industry. The Teamsters now represent more aviation mechanics and related than any other union – 18,000 at ten airlines. That gives us real power. We have been working with Airline Division Director David Bourne along with our legal team and lobbyists to show the government and the flying public that we mean business when it comes to safety in the skies, fair labor agreements on the ground, and our commitment to the prosperity of our profession.
The TAMC is guided by a steering committee that consists of one member from each mechanic group we represent. The committee meets weekly via conference call to discuss industry trends and share information on negotiations, maintenance and safety issues at our respective carriers.
In any group this size, good communication is a key component. To that end, we created the TAMC newsletter, Teamster Aviation Professional (formally “TAMC Nuts & Bolts”), to reach mechanics around the world. This publication is distributed electronically and will keep you up to date on the issues that are important to you. In addition to updates from the Airline Division on what we are doing on Capitol Hill and throughout the industry, the newsletter features articles from our members that deal with topics from ASAP to outsourcing.
