North Carolina Voter Registration Instructions

State Organizational Voter Registration Drive Requirements:

No organizational requirements.

Individual Voter Registration Drive Requirements:

No individual requirements.

Voter Registration Form Requirements:

North Carolina requires use of original voter registration forms received directly from the State BOE. To obtain these applications, an organization or individual must submit a North Carolina Voter Registration Supplies Order Form to the State Board of Elections at P.O. Box 27255, Raleigh, NC 27611-7255. This form can be downloaded form the State BOE’s website. These forms should be ordered in groups of 1000. 

North Carolina specifically bans making copies of state voter registration forms.

Voter Registration Drive Collection and Completion Requirements:

All completed forms should be turned into a County Board of Elections within 5 days of the application being signed, or by the 25th day before Election Day, whichever is sooner.

Turn In Deadline:

October 10th, 2014.

2014 Voter Registration Deadline:

October 10th via mail or registration drive, citizens may also register during the one stop in person absentee voting period.  Contact your county Board of Elections for details in your area.
