(DENVER) – With 97 percent of the bargaining unit participating, Aircraft Appearance Agents at Frontier Airlines represented by Teamsters Local 455 voted unanimously to ratify their most recent collective bargaining agreement with the company.

“We are thrilled that we were able to ratify such a great agreement for our members at Frontier Airlines,” Local 455 Secretary-Treasurer Steve Vairma said. “Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to get this contract ratified.”

“This agreement is a fantastic step forward for both Frontier Airlines and the workers who service their aircraft,” said Teamsters Airline Division Director David Bourne. “We look forward to working with the company to make Frontier Airlines as great as possible. I’m extremely proud of these workers, and I’d especially like to commend the hard work of our Frontier negotiating committee and Local 455 Business Agent Don Ramsey.”

The new contract includes a number of substantial benefits, including a signing bonus, a 50 percent wage increase for new hires, an immediate 25 percent wage increase and annual wage increases over the five-year lifetime of the agreement. It also prevents forced overtime and stipulates that part-time workers get time-and-a-half after 35 hours per week, along with a  requirement that full-time workers get double-time after 50 hours per week.
