Teamster members and their families now have access to a new benefit – training in the aviation maintenance industry. The Teamsters Airline Division has partnered with Spartan College to make this exclusive benefit available. Training available ranges from Aviation Electronics Technology, to Aviation Maintenance Technician, to a Bachelor’s of Science in Technology Management.

“We know that there is a great demand for qualified mechanics in the airline industry so we thought it was important to promote a way for Teamsters to receive expert training for this growing occupation,” said Capt. David Bourne, Director of the Teamsters Airline Division.

The scholarship opportunities available for the Spartan College AMT program provide students with the full training they need to take the FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licensing exam. Becoming a fully licensed A&P technician can be a very lucrative career; many aircraft technicians earn well over six figures annually.

Financial aid advisors are available to help with education financing and scholarship opportunities are available for those who qualify. Click here for more information.
