(MINNEAPOLIS) – Ryder Truck Rental workers represented by Teamsters Local 974 have voted overwhelmingly to ratify a new collective bargaining agreement. The three-year agreement includes a 14.5 percent wage increase over the life of the contract, strike protections, boot and tool allowances, additional vacation time, and on-call pay.
“Ryder Teamsters ensure that the highest safety standards are met and that tractor trailers are safe to drive,” said Paul McCullen, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 974. “Their work is essential to the U.S. supply chain and in ensuring truck drivers and motorists sharing the road are safe. We are pleased to have helped these workers secure a strong new agreement that rewards the important nature of their work.”
The new agreement covers 43 Teamsters at facilities in Burnsville, Eagan, Minneapolis, Rogers, and Roseville who work as technicians on tractor trailers.
