UAL CAL CMI Mechanics Update – March 23, 2014
Medical Arbitration cases to be heard on March 25th and 27th
Preparation continued this week for the upcoming medical arbitration cases. Historical documents were reviewed, some dating from the 1970’s, for potential evidence.
Attorney Ed Gleason is spearheading the cases and refined each case in principle.
Potential witnesses include: Gaelle Gravot from Chieron, Local 19 Principal Officer Bob Clever, Local 210 Business Agent Ralph Salzano, Local 856 Trustee Mark Gabriel, and Local 210 Grievance Coordinator Larry Calhoun. Once final decisions are reached by the respective arbitrators in each of these cases, they will be released to the membership.
Furloughed members urged to update their addresses
Members on furlough are advised to keep their addresses current with the company while on layoff. It is predicted that there will be many movements this year and there have been several members that have been removed from the seniority list because old addresses were on file when notices were sent.
If you are in touch with a furloughed member, please forward this information to them. Updates may be emailed to: ESC@united.com . The ESC will provide a fax number and ask members to send the address change accompanied with a signature.
