After wrapping up a third round of contract talks on March 24-25, the Teamsters FirstStudent Negotiating Committee will meet for a fourth round on May 13-14.

“We’re getting closer to reaching a tentative agreement, but the coming fourth round will enable us to address some major issues that are important to our First Student members,” said Rick Middleton, School Bus Director and Co-Chairman of the Negotiating Committee. “We have said all along that we want to negotiate the best contract possible, which means meeting as long as that takes.”

The existing national master contract was originally set to expire on March 31, 2015. However, the union and the company have signed an extension.
