Bubba Davis, Director of the Teamsters Building Material and Construction Trade Division said, “2016 was the busiest in many years for Teamster Pipeline members. Our IBT Pipeline Training Fund, under the direction of a 35-year Teamster pipeliner will be extremely busy over the course of this year trying to train and upgrade training for Teamster brothers and sisters so that will be able to safely and properly staff these jobs with trained Teamster Pipeline members. For example, we were informed by two of our major signatory Pipeline Stringing Companies that they will need 150-175 Stringing Truck Drivers in the Spring of this year. We’ll be starting several major projects in the coming weeks such as Rover, Utopia and Leach Express.

“In addition, all of America was watching last week when President Trump signed an issued Executive Orders to re-start Keystone XL and Dakota Access. Providing good effective and safe training for our members is imperative for the IBT Construction and Pipeline Division to be able to answer these calls but most importantly, make sure it’s done safely and environmentally secure. “
