UPS Teamster Leader Speaks Out Against Driverless Vehicles

In an article discussing the implications of a recent Uber autonomous car crash in Arizona, the Boston Herald spoke with UPS Teamsters Package Division Director Sean O’Brien about the dangers posed by driverless cars. As O’Brien pointed out, driverless car technology is an attack on middle-class jobs. He said the Arizona incident “points to massive problems involved in the development of this technology. What’s worse is the massive disruption to the economy driverless cars will bring — further undermining middle-class jobs and redistributing more wealth to the already wealthy.”
