Workshop: How to be an Effective Teamster PC – Best Practices

This workshop is an opportunity for Teamster Political Coordinators to learn how The Department of Political and Legislative Action and Political Coordinators can best support one another in the Teamster political program. There will be an open discussion where Political Coordinators can share best practices on topics such as managing a successful endorsement program, having an effective lobby day and recruiting member activists.

Workshop: International Trade Update

On July 1st, the USMCA (aka NAFTA 2.0) will enter into force.  The Teamsters supported it – first time ever we’ve endorsed a ‘free trade’ deal.  Find out why with trade policy specialist Mike Dolan, and what it means for trade negotiations going forward on behalf of North America’s Supply Chain Union!

Discussion on changes prompted by COVID, how this has affected voter participation in early primaries, case studies from our programs, and using AVEV data.

Workshop: Teamster Candidates: Recruiting and Supporting Members Running for Office

Hear Teamster candidates talk about their experiences/needs and LUs that run good programs.  We will walk through the Teamster Candidates program and mechanics.

Workshop: Impact of COVID on State and Local Budgets

The fiscal impact of COVID-19 will have long-lasting effects on state/local governments and the hundreds of thousands of Teamsters employed therein. This workshop will provide an overview of the continuing fiscal crisis at the state and local level and will allow for discussion on how local unions can address and mitigate the issues that will arise over the coming years. Recommended for Political Coordinators from locals/JCs who represent public sector members.

A report on the inventory of what digital tools we have available and discussion of best practices of integrating into traditional field activity.
