How To Talk About Outsourcing

Billionaires like the Koch brothers and corporations that hire part-time workers to avoid paying benefits are behind the relentless drive to outsource essential government services like education, transportation and corrections.

All levels of government are outsourcing services to corporations controlled by Wall Street banks, and many are based in foreign countries. Our tax dollars should stay in our communities, not to profit Wall Street or be sent overseas.

Unlike government, corporations provide services to make a profit. They are motivated to cut corners to increase their bottom lines. The quality of work suffers and the public’s health and safety is jeopardized.

When government services are outsourced to corporations, CEOs are empowered to make decisions that affect us all. But taxpayers have no say in who they are and how they operate. Unlike politicians, they can’t be voted out if they fail.
