Tom Erickson

Erickson

Vice President - Central Region

Tom Erickson joined the Teamsters in 1983 as a warehouse worker at SuperValu in Minnesota. He has since served as a committee member, steward, lead steward, trustee and business agent.

In 2014, Erickson was elected President of Local 120, where he represents more than 12,000 members in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota in a wide range of industries including freight, airline, food service, warehousing and public sector. He also serves as a trustee of Joint Council 32.

Erickson has a long record of militant victories: In 2019, he won LME Freight members a 1.25-million-dollar settlement after the company closed their union facility and left members high and dry. He also led a ten-day strike for over 100 Murphy Warehouse workers over healthcare and wages, winning the best contract in the unit’s history.

On March 22, 2022, he was sworn in as Central Region Vice President— the first Minnesota Teamster to take international office in over a decade—and appointed Director of the Teamsters Warehouse Division. In both roles, Erickson will bring a fighting spirit and grassroots energy to the job.
