West Contra Costa Unified Workers Election for Teamsters Representation Begins May 19
After a long delay, we finally have our election dates to vote for a Real Union with Real Power – Teamsters 856! Our voting period will be from May 19 to June 14. Ballots will be mailed out by the Public Employee Relations Board on the 19th.
Across our region, Teamsters Local 856 has led the way in fighting for high standards for public employees. As Teamsters, workers have won:
- Higher wages
- Reductions in healthcare costs
- Better benefits
- Better representation at the bargaining table
- A stronger voice on the job
We have had enough of Local 1’s failed leadership and poor representation. It’s time for a real union with real power fighting for WCCUSD employees – that union is the Teamsters!
