Some 3,000 Local 237 members employed by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) are fighting contract violations that disrupt members’ lives and threaten their physical safety. Crime has been on the rise at the more than 300 NYCHA developments citywide. But the proposed schedule changes won’t improve conditions, workers resident leaders agree.
