Kansas law does not require that a completed voter registration application be submitted within a specified time frame after its completion, but it should be turned in before the October 14th deadline.

Proof of Citizenship: Effective January 1, 2013 Kansas requires new registrants to provide documentary proof of citizenship. This requirement may be met by submitting a copy of a birth certificate, U.S. passport, naturalization document, military records or other documents specified in K.S.A. 25-2309. According to the Kansas Secretary of State’s office, individuals conducting voter registration drives may “Take a copy of a U.S. citizenship document, if requested by the applicant, and submit it to the election office along with the voter registration application form. This may be a photocopy or an electronic copy or image. The document submitted must be legible.”
