Nevada Voter Registration Instructions

State Organizational Voter Registration Drive Requirements:

Civic organizations, employees, or volunteers conducting voter registration drives are required to complete a Mail-in Application Distribution Plan if they will be requesting 50 or more voter registration forms from either the Nevada Secretary of State (SOS) or local county clerk. The form for the Plan is available on the Secretary of State website or in person at the offices of the Secretary of State or local county clerk. A copy of the form can be found at this link:

Individual Voter Registration Drive Requirements:

No individual requirements.

Voter Registration Form Requirements:

Voter registration groups may obtain voter registration applications from the offices of the Secretary of State or local county clerks. State forms may not be photocopied into unauthorized copies for use in registration drives.

Voter Registration Drive Collection and Completion Requirements:

If you retain an application to submit on behalf of a voter, you must print your name in the designated area of the applicant’s receipt at the bottom of the registration form. Registration forms must be submitted to the county clerk’s office either in person or by mail within 10 days after it is completed.

Turn In Deadline:

Within 10 days of receiving the application or by the 31st day before Election Day, October 4th.

2014 Voter Registration Deadline:

Registration by mail or via a voter registration drive must be turned in by October 4th; people can register in person at their county clerk or voter registrar offices up until 21 days before Election Day, October 14th, 2014.
