School bus mechanics with First Student in Pine Bush, N.Y., have voted unanimously to join Local 445 in Rock Tavern, N.Y.  The seven mechanics joined the Teamsters seeking the guarantees and protections of a contract, including better wages, benefits and working conditions.

“The mechanics wanted to join the Teamsters because of the good things they heard about the First Student national contract with the Teamsters. They wanted to be able to have a contract for their location,” said Adrian Huff, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 445.  

Teamsters Local 445 represents more than 3,500 members across the Hudson Valley.
