Labor radio show host, Rick Smith, interviewed Vernon Gammon, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 391, Greensboro, North Carolina, about MillerCoors threat to close the Eden, North Carolina, brewery.  Despite the brewery being one of the most profitable in the entire MillerCoors brewing network, the company plans to close by September, 2016.   The over 500 members of Local 391 who work at the plant have been protesting since the decision was announced. Local and state lawmakers have joined the fight to keep the facility open and just last week the plant was dubbed the safest MillerCoors facility in the country.  Members of Local 391 are asking everyone to sign the on-line petition that urges the CEO’s of MillerCoors, Molson Coors and SAB Miller to keep the Eden facility open: SIGN THE LETTER!
