Teamsters participated in the Long Island, New York, Pride festival this weekend – more than a month after Local 812 members were locked out of Anheuser-Busch distributor Clare Rose.  “There is no pride in Budweiser,” said Ed Weber, President of Local 812. “I am proud of the long history of solidarity between the Teamsters union and the LGBT community. From Harvey Milk to the Coors boycott decades ago, we have been partners for social and economic justice. We are deeply thankful of the LGBT community’s support.”

Long Beach City Councilmember Anissa D. Moore said, “We stand wtih our neighbors and friends in the fight for economic justice — it is time for Clare rose to restore their wages and benefits and bring them back to work.”
