- Member’s children or financial dependents are eligible to apply to the Teamsters Scholarship Fund

Teamsters VIP+ Program
- The Teamsters VIP+ Plan is meticulously crafted to help if you’re unable to work due to an illness, injury, surgery, loss of DOT or FAA certification (due to medical reasons), or death.
- Members gain access to this voluntary income protection program, which includes:
- Short Term Disability – Full-Time Member coverage available up to $2,000 per week in $50 increments. Part-Time Member coverage available up to $250 per week in $50 increments.
- Long Term Disability – Member coverage available up to $7,500 per month in $250 increments. Stackable with other eligible benefits, up to 70 percent of pre-disability earnings.
- Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance – Member coverage available up to $500,000 in $10,000 increments. Spouse and Dependent life coverage available when Member life is elected
- The plan covers CDL holders facing medical disqualification. If your CDL is denied for medical reasons, the plan provides income support while you seek medical assistance to regain qualification.

Accident Insurance & Whole Life with Long Term Care
- Members have access to accident and whole life insurance on a guaranteed issue basis, without any medical exam.
- Whole Life Insurance includes:
- Coverage for members for the whole life until the age of 95
- Long term care benefits for nursing home or at home care
- Cash value access for when your plan has accumulated cash value
- Up to $200,000 guaranteed coverage
- Up to $12,000 a-month long term care benefits for almost three years
- Accident Protection includes:
- Low cost, beginning at $9.09 a month
- Entire family coverage available, including kids playing sports
- Comprehensive coverage for various incidents
- Designed to assist with deductibles, treatments, rent and other unexpected expenses following an accident.
