(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – UPS aircraft mechanics and related employees at UPS Air Cargo have voted to ratify their newest contract with the company. The contract, which becomes amendable on November 1, 2023, makes UPS Air Cargo mechanics the highest-paid air cargo mechanics in the country by a wide margin.
(WASHINGTON) – On Tuesday, February 5, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and United Airlines will jointly ask the National Mediation Board (NMB) to mediate negotiation for an agreement covering maintenance controllers working at the company. The 90 maintenance controllers work in the carrier’s Chicago headquarters and coordinate maintenance and repairs for United Airlines’ aircraft fleet.

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Yesterday, as a gesture of union solidarity, members of the Teamsters Local 357 Executive Board led a group of Teamsters employed by Republic Airline on a visit to the Indianapolis International Airport Terminal Radar Approach Control Facilities (TRACON) to bring lunch to air traffic controllers. The air traffic controllers, who have been working without pay due to the government shutdown, are members of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association.

(ATLANTA) – International and domestic flights served by Gate Gourmet departing from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta may experience delays or go without food service during the holiday travel rush. The disruptions could impact Delta (NYSE: DAL), Gate Gourmet’s largest customer, as well as several international airlines.

(LAS VEGAS) – By more than a seven-to-one margin, pilots who are members of Teamsters Local 631 have ratified their first contract with URS Federal Services, Inc., a company that provides services for the U.S. federal government. The landmark agreement will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2019 and run through Sept. 30, 2022.
